Marshall Eberle Hiscox served as a Sergeant in Company D of the 125th New York Volunteer Infantry Regiment in the American Civil War.
He enlisted in the 125th New York on August 4, 1862 at Troy, New York. He was 21 Years of age at the time of his enlistment.
He was captured at Harper's Ferry, Virginia on September 15, 1862. He was paroled on September 16.
He was killed in action on the morning of July 3, 1863 while acting as a picket near the Bliss Farm.
He was initially buried in David Ziegler's woods.
He was later reinterred in the New York Plot of the Gettysburg National Cemetery, Section A, Site #134.
