Named
after Alexander A. McKenzie, 1891, Superintendent of Buildings and
Grounds - l898-l904. Perhaps the first officer of that sort any
college
in the country. It was built in 1956.

The
Department of Buildings and Grounds and the Purchasing Agent's office
are located in the former dairy plant building east of the power
plant.
This building now carries the name of Alexander A. McKenzie ’91,
Superintendent
of Buildings and Grounds from 1898 to 1904, who is believed to have
been the first officer of that sort at any college in the
country.
