Alexander
Anderson McKenzie - After an illness of over two years, Alexander A.
McKenzie, superintendent of buildings and grounds of Dartmouth
College, died at the Mary Hitchcock Hospital, August 25, of Sarsoma
of the hip.
Alexander
A. McKenzie was born in Burke, New York, January 20, 1865. He entered
Dartmouth in the class of 1891, but left college in his junior
year to accept a position in Nicaragua, where he remained several
years.
Returning to college he took the degree of B.S. in 1899. He was
a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity. At the funeral President
Tucker
spoke in words not over drawn respecting Mr. McKenzie’s exceedingly
high moral worth. Interment was made at Burke.
